In daily life, we often use the iPhone’s timer function for time management, such as setting a 35-minute timer. Here are two methods: the traditional method using the Clock app and a faster one using Shortcuts.
1. Traditional Method: Setting a 35-Minute Timer Using the Clock App.
- Open the **Clock** app on your iPhone.
- Tap on **Timer**.
- Select **35 minutes**, and then tap **Start**.
- The timer will begin, showing the remaining time on the screen.
- This is the common way to manually set a timer.
2. Shortcut Method: One-Tap Timer Setup Using Shortcuts.
- To make it more convenient, you can create a one-tap 35-minute timer using the Shortcuts app. Here’s how:
- Open the **Shortcuts** app.
- Tap the **plus sign** in the upper right to create a new shortcut.
- Select **Add Action** and search for “Timer“.
- Choose **Start Timer** and set the duration to **35 minutes**.
- Tap **Done** to save the shortcut.
- Long-press the shortcut icon and select **Rename** to name it “35-Minute Timer”.
- Long-press again, choose **Share**, and select **Add to Home Screen**.
- A button will now appear on your home screen. Tap it to instantly start the 35-minute timer.
- This method allows you to start the timer directly from the home screen, saving time.
- Customizing Timer Duration: If you need a custom time, like a 10-minute timer, you can adjust the timer duration in the shortcut. Simply enter **10 minutes** in the timer duration field.
- Conclusion: If you’re interested in learning more about changing the timer duration or other features, let me know in the comments, and I’ll explain it in the next video.
