In the previous video, I introduced three ways to enter Windows Safe Mode. One of them is by pressing the F8 key continuously after booting up. However, some users mentioned that the F8 key doesn’t work in Windows 10 and Windows 11. This video will show you how to solve this issue.
1. Why Not Work?
- There are two possible reasons why the F8 key doesn’t work:
- Your computer starts up too quickly, so the F8 keypress isn’t captured by the system.
- Windows 10 and Windows 11 have disabled the F8 key by default.
2. How to Fix This Issue?
- First, boot up Windows and enter the login screen. If pressing the F8 key doesn’t work, we just need to hold the Shift key, click the Power button, select “Restart,” and keep holding the Shift key until the system restarts.
- Once the system restarts, you will see a menu. Select “Troubleshoot,” then “Advanced options,” and choose “Startup Settings.” Finally, click “Restart.”
- After restarting, you’ll see the startup settings with several numbered options (like 1 to 6). To enter Safe Mode, press the number 4 key to “Enable Safe Mode”. This will take you into Safe Mode, and you’ll see the words “Safe Mode” in all four corners of the screen.
- That’s it for this video. If you found it helpful, please give it a like and subscribe. See you next time!
